Thanks for this discussion.

I finally saved up the $50 and created a new BackstageJBJ account but every time I clicked on ANY of the links to add a new membership to my cart it would log me out again! After about 20 tries I finally gave up and did an internet search and found out that's a common problem. Thanks to the info posted here, I see that I'm not missing anything and have decided to wait until something is actually going on over at BackstageJBJ before I make another attempt to hand over my hard-earned money.

If you are using AOL as your internet browser (and by the sound of your problem you are), that is why you are getting stuck in the loop. If/when you do decide to join just use another internet browser like Firefox or Explorer.

Same here. Id never been a member before as I never saw what benefits it gave me being in the UK. And bar the Q & A its just a messageboard. Pretty poor value for money.

What a coincidence. Two days after I started this thread, photos of the London Fan Club event have suddenly appeared on the backstage fan club site.

I wish you would post your thoughts on Backstage - I would certainly back you up.
At the end of the day we are paying for a product and we therefore have a right to complain for not getting value for money.

MB and her groupies aside, wouldn't the mods just delete any complaints anyway? I thought we could only have happy, non-gossipy threads over there . . . or are the mods no longer ruling with an iron fist?

I may re-up closer to the release date. I'm sure as hell not coughing up for a membership until I know I can get FC tickets out of it. $50 for a message board is a crock . . . though I do sort of miss butting heads with MB, that alone isn't worth the money.

The gossip (or anything personal discussed about the band members) threads yes get deleted but negative posts, no, not recently. There are two (one over 50 pages) discussing the two new snippets. And believe me it ain't all peaches and creme. LOTS of negative opinions, so, yea, the moderation is much less since Matt took over.

No clue what will happen with fanclub tickets as nothing has been said.

Thanks Deb. Nice to hear 'Big Brother' (or in this case 'Little Brother' ) is easing up.

I'm hoping we'll hear over here when FC ticket stuff comes up, but even if we don't I'm sure the regular press stuff should clue us in as to when things start happening. When is LH slotted for release - April? I think that's what I heard anyway.

Oh yea, there will be stuff posted on this board at least to clue everyone in on what they do and don't do with fanclub tickets.

April is the month Jon mentioned that the HRC event and he hasn't mentioned any other timeframe so far so I guess we'll see. I just think for LH there may be some one off shows but no real tour but I've been wrong before, lol!

Hmmn, I hadn't thought of that - sort of like the box set and TLFR? With mini-me and building a new house, I'm a little out of the loop - too many other things taking up my time/brain power (or what's left of it) these days.
