I agree with that. Bounce is pretty good (it's as underrated as the band), and TLFR is an art masterpiece.... maybe it's not rock, but it's simply an excellent album.

Ok wait, how can you say they're too concerned with being fake or mainstream right after they release an album like TLFR? I think they were TOTALLY being free and without the concern of selling the album! They went with their gut and did something noone else has done.

it still sold its share tho, it was never gonna touch the heights of previous offerings.

What's wrong with Bounce? I just don't know where they are going with this record. As you rightfully noticed they should be carivng their artistic niche. I just don't see how Bounce helps them with that.

And TLFR as a project seems kinda pointless to me. Okay, I could live with it. I don't know about casual fans though.

I guess I just have hard time accepting that deep inside I actually agree with a lot of things that critics say about the band.

You're asking what's wrong with Bounce as it sold pretty well, I told you it didn't. There's a connection between the both. There are no great songs on it. There are good ones, but no great classics. I'm not talking about hitsingles, I'm talking about classics in the eyes of fans or general public. Bounce hasn't got any. Maybe 3 ; Undivided, Hook Me Up and Bounce (now don't you all start a discussion that you think there are other 3 classics) my point is there aren't that many great songs on it, which is why it sold badly.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

first of all they needed an album to reach 100 millions in sales. it was probably the record company who wanted them to have an album ready so they could have a reason to celebrate with the box set. i have said this many times before- tlfr is a rushed album, a sales boost. after all it seems that this whole project was pat leonard's idea (and maybe that's the reason it ended up sooo bad). and even if it is the way you say (i think it isn't) tlfr is one album... what about the rest?

i thought bounce had alot of things going for it but the shot their won foot.

TLFR is an artistic canvas for themselves, why is it pointless, cos it isnt a huge hard rock album? the band have bene round long enough to do wot they please and if that includes musical masturbation.

well msot critics i think talk utter nonsense about the band and too much on jons hair

well it all comes to opinion but i think the album has many great tracks, no true classics i suppose, but great tracks.

i think ryan would start the 'bounce a classic' topic or has he turned into a TD zombie like much of this board :P
