In Europe I think they would be able to fill up arenas always. Their European following is extremely loyal. About the US I'm not so sure. I think they may see a lot of empty seats (if they play big arenas) if they tour with something like TLFR. Afterall their American fanbase didn't support These Days. They would be able to sell out small arenas no matter what.

But it's not only about how full an arena is. It's also about how people receive your work. And somehow I don't believe that the reception for TLFR live would've been great. I, personally, would love Bon Jovi to be able to see people's faces when they play TLFR stuff.
acoustic stuff is not appropriate for stadiums/arenas anyway... i wouldn't like to go and see them in a big stadium if they were to play acoustic even if it was the most brilliant stuff and not tlfr crap. (but that doesn't change the fact that i would go... if they came here of course )

Somehow I don't believe that they will return to playing theaters and clubs ever again. But that would be nice.

Thing is you don't have the possibility and you don't have a 20 year career and you are not Bon Jovi and I don't give a sh1t if you could do the same. No one cares.

Classic Rock actually hailed This Left Feels Right. Their reviews for both the record and the Borgata show were very favorable. So thankfully they don't think that everything is lost for Bon Jovi.

Edited to add ... I'm actually amazed at how well Classic Rock supports Bon Jovi. They have special features on them very often. And they mention them quite often. That leads me to believe that Classic Rock has a lot of faith in this band.
can i ask why u seem quite independant on how critics view the band?? i know it is just me but i coudlnt care less and im curious as to why u seem very glad that classic rock likes them?

Because I like Classic Rock and respect them. Does it make sense?

E.g. I don't care what the Rolling Stone and K! write about them (or about anyone) because I feel that these mag. are garbage.

No irony. I'm sincere.

first of all they needed an album to reach 100 millions in sales. it was probably the record company who wanted them to have an album ready so they could have a reason to celebrate with the box set. i have said this many times before- tlfr is a rushed album, a sales boost. after all it seems that this whole project was pat leonard's idea (and maybe that's the reason it ended up sooo bad). and even if it is the way you say (i think it isn't) tlfr is one album... what about the rest?
Yes, TLFR was rushed, noone can deny that and yes, it more than likely was the record company. However, I think TLFR was the only time they really veered away from the normal Jovi sound and created something totally different. You compare their past albums, their sound has not changed a whole lot, however the music around them has changed. Think about it, you go to a Jovi concert and hear Bad Name, then It's My Life. You don't think "Gee, their sound has really changed!" If anything, the music around them has changed causing them to be classified in different genres. They were heavy metal in the 80s, rock in the 90s and now pop. I really think the only thing that's changed with Jovi is their music has matured, but the same sound remains.

Thing is, if I'd have a 20 year career I certainly wouldn't come up with something as simple as this. A lot of people think that what they did was very good and artistic and clever, but it isn't. People think those musical arrangements are well thought but it's what me and Thierry do all the time when messing around.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Still, I don't care with what you would come up.

Yes, I still do think that. Please, may I do so?

Basically, you are saying artistic and clever arrangements have to be bloody complicated that no one else can play them. "Well thought" doesn't say anywhere it mustn't be simple. Thing is Bon Jovi had that opportunity and felt good doing it as simple as that. You don't like it? Fine.
