I don't like listening to BWC cause they played the sh*t out of it on the radio, just like they did with WWBTF, What Do You Got, IML and HAND.
Count yourself lucky if you're in a place that got those songs played over and over. IML and HAND were the only two that made a dent here

And why would he or anyone else be lucky to get those songs played over and over and over?

His point was that he hates the songs because they got overplayed and forced on him. It's easier to appreciate a song if it doesn't get over saturated and played to death.

So since MORE songs were ruined for him that's a good thing?

I get exactly what he means. Its really not that difficult.

He is talking about radio play. Lucas doesn't like a few songs because of radio overplay. CaptJovi is implying thats a good thing because the song got real radio airplay, something that doesn't happen in his area. So if you are going to have a reason for disliking it, that's the best way.

Its like saying 'I wish I had that problem'

Then he went on to say, which i agree with, if a song gets saturated with mainstream overplay, you could be forced to like it. Meaning, maybe if BWC got some real radio play, we might actually like it.

Just two different thoughts from the say guy. Not a contradiction.

More or less, yeah. I got sick of Misunderstood fast because it was played over and over here. Once I was able to listen to it by choice I grew to appreciate it a lot more. It's not the case for all the songs ever, I'm just noting the band has has no real radio presence in my area since Make a Memory.

While I really like most of WAN, I gotta disagree on that one. The Circle is a great album IMO, from start to finish. WAN has it's moments, but also some decent-or-less tracks like BWC. I personally still enjoy listening (and singing along) to Water, Thick As Thieves, Beautiful Word, Echo, With These Two Hands. Sometimes What's Left Of Me and Amen. Not so much BWC, Army Of One, I'm With You and what else is left on that record that I can't think of at the moment

So, I guess there's something for everyone, which makes it a solid effort. Or it would, if the production and Jon's voice would be on-par with The Circle, and the guitar licks would sound more like Richie and not scream John Shanks or whoever-was-it (while fitting to the overall sound of the record, it still is a big departure from everything they've done before IMO).

Jack Johnson's "From Here to Now to You" sold 117,000 copies in its first week of sales and was his 4th #1 album on the Billboard 200.
