I know I'm in the minority but I love hearing this at concerts. As an album track it's good but live it's very cool.

The problem I have with this song, is that there are much better songs that could/should be played in its place

I love the song, good theme and the music is good. Gets too many negative comments

I love Captain Crash it's different and the lyrics are fun. This song is also great live.

It's boring live and on the album. Just a bad song.

I am tired of hearing it at so many shows. it is definitely overplayed. I think the band likes to watch the crowd sway when they play it....

But, from what I've been told - it's basicaly what Seb said. But that's just what I've been told, so Kenobi may be correct.
It was a few years ago but I'm pretty sure Jon has said it was about a well known but over-the-hill celeb. I know he talks shit sometimes but I wouldn't have thought that would be something you just pull out of your arse in an interview?

Yes. People who were on stage during this song said it would be amazing to watch the crowd during that song and that they can understand that the band plays it regulary.
