I honestly, don't think the winners know they are winning since this is all voted on by a committee of industry folks. And again, I'm pretty sure this award is not announced live but prior to the broadcast.

Maybe they dont know for sure but i think they are told wether its worth them going or not .

They have never ever won a Grammy, and that sucks ass because they deserve WAY MORE than the people that do win it!!!

Errrrr.... not attending has nothing to do with winning/loosing.

They did NOT attend the CMT Music Awards last year and they won. They did NOT attend the People's Choice Awards and they won. They DID attend the CMA's and presented, but they did not win.

This category won't even be announced during the telecast. It doesn't matter if they're there to accept it or not. I think they probably have a better chance of winning this Grammy than they ever have before. It's the Grammy's. They gave Jethro Tull a best Metal award. Why not give Bon Jovi a best Country award?

You HAVE 100% right. I think that they have BIG chance to win (the same like in 2000 with Crush and IMLife).

it just wouldnt seem fair or right after this long giving us great rock music to then get a country award.

I think this is different though its the grammys not some tinpot award show
