He holds grudges.
It was in the Daily Mail Weekend Magazine where Jon admitted to cheating on his wife in the late 80s and early 90s. I remember the spread well in that magazine. Funny you say that though he hasn't done much since in the UK.

This whole day job debacle. Why are people getting so tetchy over it? Jon is passionate about creating/writing/polishing the album off. That is his life. His business side (making money - IE DAY JOB) is putting shows together for the fans and that is how he makes a living. The 2 are seperate entities entirely. The mind boggles why people on here like danfan are totally missing the point.

I agree with Dan... Said that, here's what I think:

I'm a Bon Jovi fan (the music and the shows) not the Bon Jovi persons themselves, I don't even know them, they are not my friends, I care a lot about the music they make, that's what I LOVE, I've send a lot of money on it (and I mean it, A LOT)... But about the persons themselves... I don't care a bit about them. Is Jon an asshole or a gentle person? Maybe... I don't care, it wouldn't make any effect on my life, his music would.

As mentioned before he came across as balanced and humbled. And I TOTALLY think he loves music and creating it (still) But also he is able to focus on other things as well. Like he once said "Map out your future but do it in pencil". And him saying "it's only my day job" may refer to him not having a "rockstar" personality. He also said that he is in it for the music and not for the cliches.
I agree with you.
I think it wasnīt so bad interview. He still loves the music and creating. Same time he has other interests in his life. I like his charity work and desire to help others. Why he have to love only one thing? Bon Jovi is still making new record, he didnīt have to promote new album. He talked about other passions in his life and promoted charity .

Why? Because it coincides with what you think?
