I hope that for much longer than just the duration of the show, because then it won't really mean anything.

It takes a lot of courage to leave your life behind, and dedicate it to help others, but I bet that in our own communities there are ways to help more than we do, even if that means less Bon Jovi shows. The count of shows or front rows won't mean much when we "leave", but the good deeds will.

Sorry again, this show really hit me hard, but I understand this is not the place. No more comments.

I don't think most of us will do as drastic a thing as the people you saw on this show did, and I don't think most of us are supposed to. I think what can be gotten out of it is a change in perspective, maybe a bit more "balancing" in life etc.... as for BJ shows, there's nothing wrong with wanting to see the band or wanting to be in the front rows, but maybe once in awhile it wouldn't hurt to watch from a different place, a different angle either.

DVRd the show as my god daughter stayed over last night so I only watched the show today. Great show and like you guys said before it really puts your life in perspective. Jon was zoomed in a few times during the show. Thought too it was a good version of WDYG.

I am glad that you were so affected. I remember that Angelina Jolie once said in an interview that she could have saved herself a lot of selfish and self-harming behavior if she had just been sent to India when she was a teenager and had her eyes opened. This show maybe opened some eyes.

There was a time when I desired to become rich "someday" just so that I could be a philanthropist, then I realized that I could give time and money no matter what my income and be a part of making a difference. It is not about denying yourself but extending yourself. Good luck in finding the balance.
