Cook in Cologne called Bongiovi / possible relative to JBJ

In today's newspaper of Cologne there is an article about a Head cook in a hotel in Cologne who's name is Giuseppe Bongiovi and this cook even comes from the same little village in Sicilia as Jon's father. Maybe some relative of Jon is working in Cologne.

The article is quite long so I can't translate it complete but the cook tells that it's sometimes funny when he answers the phone with "Bongiovi". He also tells about his career and how he ended up in the hotel in Cologne. In the text there are some comparisions between musicians and cooks, like "since Bad medicine and Livin on a prayer it is known that you don't need too many ingredients to create a good rock song, it's the same with the Italian cooking". He also tells that he still gets a lot of ingredients from the little village in Sicilia. The text ands with In Caltabellotta in Sicilia they would be proud of the name Bongiovi but Guiseppe doesn't tell which Bongiovi they mean, he is just smiling.

Well, in a small village in Szicilia everyone is somehow related to everyone.

I think that if he [knew he] was related he would have stated so in the interview. I wonder how common Bongiovi really is?
