He doesn't have the best voice, but his musicianship is impeccable in my opinion.
And he was awesome in The Sopranos

While I agree that he'd make for great input, he was/is quite busy himself with his Broadway stuff. Maybe he's exhausted because of that, too.

Or maybe he found that outlet for his creative energy since it wasn't being used by the band. Based on David's comments and tone in the documentary, I'd say he seems to be the least satisfied with the situation. But as he made clear, it isn't bad enough that he feels like he has to leave. I actually thought it was interesting that David's comments made the final cut.

Jon decides (and is responsible) as he's got the contract but they all have their say. Or else, they all seem very comfortable with their subjugation, don't they?
you are always the voice of reason!

Yes, without context it sounds simply like an accussation! Twisting the words out of their proper context is what the tabloids always do to make things seem more sensational.

When these words are in their right context (as we heard them in the documentary) they have their true sense!

The "true sense" was in the quotes. The band used to be a democracy, but after Jon took control of everything, it's no longer a democracy. Like I said, just watch David's comments in the documentary. He doesn't look too thrilled about the situation, but he's not stupid enough to leave a good gig. But it's clear he'd like to have more say on what the band does.

A very healthy concept. We all know what happened in 1990 when they all were way TOO MUCH into it.

Or maybe all the ones that really KNOW didn't get it the way you did and didn't even think it could come across like this. When I watched the documentary I know I didn't.

It certainly came across that way in the documentary to both my wife and I. Dave really seems dissatisfied with the workings of the band but as Ice said, he's not silly enough to let it ruin a good thing - not cutting one's nose of to spite their face.

I'm not saying it is the truth because I say it. I'm saying it ain't the truth because of what others felt either.
If it is like you say then it doesn't fit the other picture some people on here like to draw, i.e. no criticism would make the cut on official releases, always playing it safe etc.
Both comes from the same people and then, something doesn't fit.
