Coupla Pages of History Part Two - Guitar For the Practicing Musician October 1990
The Blaze of Glory album is what cemented me as a fan of Jon and Bon Jovi, where I could have just as easily out grown them after New Jersey, which was never rated very high on my personal list. What always got me was the passion put into the performances..elevating the most subpar songs onto another level. Blaze, despite Jon's insistence at it being nothing more than a soundtrack, was everything that I knew was inside him just needing to be unleashed. If there is anything out of the catalog of work Jon has produced, this one is the one that deserved a Grammy. This is also the album the laid the foundation for ensuring a long career, escaping the bonds of the hair band 80's that claimed the careers of so many others (deservingly so for most.) Jon put his heart and soul out for all to see under the guise of a movie soundtrack.
