No, they weren't. These shows were to promote the re-release of the first four albums (I got this ) and also to promote Access All Areas (I've seen a commercial). This tour is called The Brief Japanese Tour (it's not an official name, though) and it was more Doc McGhee thing than the band thing. Even if the band wasn't in the highest spirits, according to them - there was some problem between Jon and Richie, the shows were really great. Another important point is that Bon Jovi were really big in that time in Japan.
