I was thinking the same thing too, no sympathy from me either. What was she doing that she lost all of those things? When you travel, you have to be extra careful with everything!

Unforunately things like that happen everyday in nyc There is not
much you can do about it if some one wants to mug or rob you
Best option always keep valuables cash in hotel safe and make a photocopy
of important documents and email them to yourself

have no other details...she's going to see Memphis on Broadway also.

so disaster averted!

Great to hear! Though if I was in that position in terms of losing all my documentation and money I think I'd be trying to sort that out before seeing a Broadway musical.
