Got to say I didn't hear him struggling with Wanted, in fact I thought it was one of the best performances I've seen of it in awhile. It was different not having Richie sing with him, which is what we are all used to but Jennifer did a great job with it I thought.
Hand was great, Jon can sing this song, he nailed it here.
Prayer is what got me out of my seat though. Jon actually made an octave change and nailed it. It made me press stop and go back and watch again.

Overall, I thought this show was well done, very energetic, and a blast. Everyone seemed to be having a good time and the two groups fit together well. I liked it.
Yeah - I had a similar response. I watched it this morning. I am NOT a country music fan yet I found I enjoyed this quite a bit. I noticed that Jennifer Nettles started out sounding very country (very closemouthed and strangled tones) but about halfway through she finally opened her mouth and sang out loud. The woman has a great voice when she lets it come out. I watched it with my husband who is something of a country fan. He is also a Bon Jovi fan but he doen't know every little thing about the band so perhaps he isn't as critical. He loved the entire show, thought Jon sounded great and thought Jennifer was hot LOL.

Well i really liked it..i did notice Jennifer really got into the jovi songs, she seemed to be really enjoying it and it looked like the guys were having a good time too, it was cool. It was funny when the girl got behind Richie though lol

I also think the audience was great..it just seemed like a big party there

Every response to the show I've read on the CMT board has been positive. These are typically people who watch Crossroads for the concept, regular CMT viewers. So, it looks like the show was a success.

I really enjoyed it and I'm not a country fan at all. Didn't hear the struggle by Jon on wanted at all. I thought he sounded great. But, I was there live too so I thought I may be a little biased in my perception. But, seeing it on TV and just listening I still say the singing by both was very good. The backing vocals on Sugarland songs by Jon live were much more audible then they came across on the tv broadcast, not sure why.

various comments from someone who was dreading the show (me):

- jennifer sounded really good. she sang a lot better than the previous times i have heard her live. i was impressed.

- jon acted liked an arrogant jerk. he said the fake things he was supposed to say, but he acted like a jerk. he used his fake smile a lot.

- this crossroads was different than others because most of the time each band plays their own songs and the others just sing on them. the musicians in bon jovi had to learn the sugarland songs.

- the 2 members of sugarland not named jennifer are completely useless. she should go solo.

- make me believe is 4999999999 times better than the 2 previous sugarland songs.

overall it was a lot better than i was anticipating

I thought it was pretty good. I didn't think I would like Sugarland that much, but they weren't bad. Overall I was impressed. I would have liked to have been a little longer.

I enjoyed the show. It would have been nice if Jon had actually SANG on the Sugarland songs so that we could hear him. She was putting him to shame, vocally. But their stage chemistry was very cool, and I enjoyed Richie's guitar solo on "Just Might Make Me Believe". It was a very decent show.

Yeah...but maybe they're named after a place in Houston, Texas named Sugarland. If not, then it's totally gay.

Just because of the name i never listened anything from them I just thought what's that ?? and never tried to hear anything from them. Thought it was a new Dido thing or Umbruglia etc ... now because of this show and what i read on the singer i'd like to hear some of their stuff ... but even from the pics i saw i am really not "attracted" by this band don't know why, seems too slow or Dido style .. ?? maybe i'm totally wrong !
I'm always disappointed when BJ plays with others ..... they could play with real rockers ........ ?? and a female voice on Bon Jovi songs is totally wrong !!!! (except if it's Sheryl )
