I just managed to see this show yesterday and I thought it was awesome. I really didn't like the sound of Jennifer's voice on the duet and I still don't, I guess, but it was really fun to watch the two bands perform. Funny thing is, I don't mind her voice as much when she's singing her own songs (which are very good) but on the bon jovi tracks, she sounds terrible.

Jon sounded really good. That's pretty much the best I've heard in a long time and head and shoulders above the recent Amsterdam and New York Nokia gigs. He sounded refreshed and energised, powerful and confident. If that's the Jon Bon Jovi we'll see out the road this tour then things should be terrific.

Erm, I've got the DVD of that show here, and if that's what Jon will sound like on tour we've got a crappy tour coming up. He sounds out of breath all the time, and only Wanted really stands out during that show. And Who Says, ofcourse, but that song isn't really hard to sing.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Well yeah. Krycek thinks Jon sounds always superdupergreat except for that one performance at the Borgata in 2004, and I think he simply sucks nowadays with the exception of the Heineken Music Hall, in which he sometimes really shined.

You've gotta be kidding. He dosen't sound out of breath at all, quite the opposite actually, sure he dosen't eve move around, how the hell could he be out of breath?
I would agree that in some recent performnaces Jon has performed very badly because mainly his breathing has been terrible but not here, he was spot on that night. Now it wasn't '95 Jon Bon Jovi and there is still room for improvment but he was still extremely good on that show, and as I said better then I've seen him in a long time.

Well there you go with your trademark bullsh*t again. I've seen quite a few shows where Jon hasn't been up to par and yeah that late 2004 Borgota performance was probably the worst I've ever seen and the funny thing is even though I thought Jon sounded fantastic at the Amsterdam gig, when I watch it now on dvd, I'm hearing something quite different. He sounds tired, weak and off key at lots of times. Now that could well be down to a shocking mix or some other technical thing because it sure didn't sound like that in the venue but watching it on dvd, I think there's precious few shinning moments for Jon.
