Default Crush album cover?

Was listening to some tracks from Crush today and remembered the album cover. Is it meant to tell something? Is there a message behind it, a concept at all? Or is it just a bunch a random pictures trying to emulate Achtung Baby in a less artsy fashion (which incidentally was U2s 7th studio record as well?) Did the guys in the band ever make any statements about it? And isn't it odd that the car is in the exactly same spot :P?

I seem to recall that the music was supposed to speak for itself so the artwork was, whilst not irrelevant certainly not a prime concern (I can't remember the exact words-that's a major paraphrasing). Same reason the lyrics are not included.

But yes it does mirror Achtung Baby somewhat. Shame it's nowhere near as good!

Seriously now, this is about the Crush album, and I don't think I need to actually start to elaborate on how Crush is less likely to be a PURE coincidence compared to Bounce.

I'm a huge fan of both bands, and I never noticed the resemblance between Crush and Achtung Baby.

Too bad Achtung Baby absolutely MURDERS Crush, and any other album ever released.

Actually, sorry if this post emphasises the resemblance with Achtung Baby. It might indeed just be a massive coincidence, was mostly wondering whether Bon Jovi ever said anything about the artwork and whether any of the 15 pictures have any specific meaning?

I'd assume not. To me, it's just the standard pictures of the band being moody. The only intriguing ones would be the ones with the car, the headlight, and the powerline.

I think the format works much better here.

There was no message behind the cover, it was just arty but it did feature David with straight hair (maybe that was a message to over priced perm product manufacturers) I think the Crush cover is pretty memorable any way. Much more so than the drab Bounce or The Circle covers.

My favorite of their album covers.
