It is annoying but I'm sure I've seen that with other bands. Not that I own many singles, but Bono was on the cover of a couple just by himself. Angus Young is on a couple of AC/DC singles just by himself and there are obviously more that I can't think of right now.
And talking about boy bands. This one is equally bad...
