I always thought Bounce would have made an excellent double disc album. All the different directions they were going: The multiple IML rehashes, the heavier Creed influenced songs, the Elton/Joel story ballads, the songwriter ballads. A double disc would have given all those directions some room to breathe.
Think about all the directions, the ups and downs on the White Album or even Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
They could have polished up some of the b-sides from Bounce (and Crush while we are wishing)... it might look something like this:
1. Bounce
2. I don't want to live forever
3. We Can Dance
4. The Distance
5. Hush
6. Misunderstood
7. You Can Sleep While I Dream
8. You Had Me at Hello
9. The Right Side of Wrong
10. Crazy Love
11. Ordinary People
12. Postcards from the Wasteland
1. Undivided
2. No Regrets
3. Everyday
4. Stay
5. Alive
6. All About Loving You
7. Temptation
8. Hook Me Up
9. Love Me Back to Life
10. Lucky
11. Joey
12. Open All Night
