Cheers everyone and be well
For the record, I'm with you.

I would only add that people who are truly concerned should probably look to sources other than mainstream news broadcasts for information. Those outlets are geared toward sensationalism, and typically present only the facts (often taken out of context) that support their agendas. They tend to downplay, or totally disregard, anything that might shine a different light on the subject.

I see nothing irresponsible in what David has said to date. I'm still not sure why people object to comments that offer some reassurance, but don't deny the seriousness of the situation or the need for caution. IMO, we need to be reminded that not everyone will be infected; not everyone who is infected will die; and, in the vast majority of cases, those who are infected will experience mild symptoms, if any.

I agree in that it's not about whether or not you'll get it and the symptoms, it's if you will pass it to someone who is unable to take it on with weaker immunities. That's the real fear.

Agreed; and that's why people are encouraged to stay home, practice social distancing, self-quarantine, and self-isolate. David clearly says he followed the guidelines. He cautions that it's not something to be taken lightly, and tells everyone to stay home. I don't see how that translates to being irresponsible. To me it seems more like he's just letting people know there's a middle ground that lies somewhere between panic and blowing it all off as nonsense or pretending it doesn't exist.

But then, as jazzsta indicated, a lot of people wouldn't recognize "middle ground" if they walked on it for days.

Default Dave Bryan Update 4/19/2020

Got my test back today. Thankfully I’m Covid-19 negative!

5 weeks to the day that I got sick... I’m a very lucky guy! ⭐️ There are people who have no symptoms, people who got sick (like me), people fighting for their lives and people who sadly have lost their lives. This is a nasty virus BUT science/medicine will conquer all.

Thank you to all for your well wishes. Thank you to all the Doctors and Nurses and all on the front lines. You are the true heroes! ✨
Thank you for the official closure, Lemma -- but just a precaution, you should test at least twice more over the next four to six weeks!

Here's why: Recovered and negative-tested people have re-tested as positive; and, as you said, you can be contagious without experiencing any symptoms. There's no telling how many others you and your wife have helped infect BEFORE you actually started feeling sick. Without a vaccine, medication, or a cure available, the only way to "conquer" this virus is to find and quarantine the people who are in the earliest stages of infection -- and the only way to do that is to test EVERYONE (social distancing started four months too late).

Fortunately, a mass testing method that is inexpensive to reproduce and simple to administer has just been granted U.S. government approval. Its rollout has begun in New Jersey, of all places, and if it can be rolled out fast enough nationally, the spread of the virus could be halted in plenty of time for a vaccine to deliver the knockout punch!
