I see a few of you talking about " Lou Rose". That was my father, Louie. He passed away in 1992. I have for many years tried to reach someone from BJ to answer a few questions for me. No luck of course. Tell me, did this interview speak of Phantoms Opera and the guys? Joe Phog, whom was also mentioned, along with Jack Yanoso, have all passed away. We try our best to keep the bands memory alive though!

Russomanno's stage name was Lou Rose.

Listened to the entire thing -- very interesting, thanks for posting!

Good on Sabo for telling Geffen Records to fck off after dissing their demo. He told Doc McGhee that on Geffen, they'd have to take a back seat to Guns N Roses, or worse, get turned into "Bon Jovi Part 2." But why did Geffen suddenly change their minds about the Skids? So that they could be turned into Guns N Roses Part 2!

Even before Appetite For Destruction was released, it was clear that GNR had such an appetite for SELF-destruction, Geffen decided that they would need a "backup" edgy hard rock band. After the Skids slipped out of their reach, they signed Inger Lorre and The Nymphs and recorded an album that didn't see the light of days for nearly TWO YEARS while they pushed GNR.

And his account of the search for Sebastian reminds me of an enormous classified ad that appeared in The Aquarian music paper during that time: "We have the record deal. We have the album. We have the management. We have the tour. All we need is YOU!"
