I think 'It's Just Me' is one of the best songs Jon has ever written for example.
I love Queen of New Orleans, Destination Anyway and the acoustic version of August 7, sends shivers down my spine.
I love Learning How To Fall and Its Just Me ......... i play them loads.
If i feel real down they express my mood a lot!

Actually that sounded like a load of gobbledegook...
I say, I do concur with not what you didn't not say there, Mr hello

Gobbledegook, all right.

HAND and LH are so much better than DA, IMO of course. And I'd still take Crush and Bounce over it too. What can I say? I just don't get DA.

I love Destination Anywhere. It walks all over Crush and HAND, and is on par with Bounce and Lost Highway (if not with a slight lead!).

Too bad that two of the best tracks, Cold Hard Heart and Sad Song Night, didn't make the album.

All in my opinion, of course.

What about Drive? I loved that song. But yeah, I really dig CHH and SSN too. Having them on the album woulda made a big difference for me.

You mean Cold Hard Heart was a bonus track? I never even knew that...

I would have liked Sad Song Night and Talk to Jesus on the album.

I personally prefer the first solo albums (Blaze & Stranger) to the second ones.

I got a really special relationship with DA. I just simply can't count it as Bon Jovi album. It's so different. It's just an album with JBJ's vocals. Different style, contemporary style. I mean - great balance between rock and pop style of that time. And that's the reason Jon did that album - it doesn't fit in the BJ albums line. I can't see any other reason for him doing solo album.

I must have special mood to listen to it. And it contains superb songs.

But what I really don't like, is the DA tour. I got some bootlegs and I was fed up with it. I wouldn't mind if Jon played his own stuff plus some covers. If he did it just different as the album is. I can't stand Bon Jovi songs played by Big Dogs. Something doesn't work there. Or if he played different renditions of the BJ songs. That's what Richie did with Bad Medicine, Prayer, NSG...

So now you know my opinion...anyone feel it the same way???

It's pretty amazing to re-discover such great music, huh? Glad the same thing happened to you as it did to me - I am still kicking myself for having missed out on such great music all those years I didn't notice DA.
