Although Sebs post is clearly a little tongue in cheek (especially the very end bit!), if you think this sort of thing doesnt happen youve obviously never been to a Bon Jovi gig with Kev. Its like walking aroumd with Jon himself sometimes, people are that excited to see him

Haha I'm surprised his tongue didn't burst his cheek. Made me laugh so hard that some pee came out. Doesn't help that I've to present to our CFO today and I'm wearing light coloured trousers.

So worth it though.

I was at that O2 show in London when David wasn't playing as he was accepting some Tony award. Jon had obviously signed his annual leave form for that one, he could have easily told him to stick by his contract and miss the awards show and phone in a video acceptance.

Jon needs a new 'right-hand man', will David step up?

Oh, and in regards to Jon and David's relationship; who doesn't disagree with the decision their bosses make every now and then? Bringing up "how they went on holiday together 25 years ago" makes no sense to me. Dynamics between band members change, but if it'd been too horrible to deal with I'm sure David would've walked rather sooner than later. Who knows what's being said between them after Jon or David has said something in the press either party disagrees with?

I have actually experienced this. People even recognized him here in New Jersey when he was visiting me.

Kev is the head moderator on this board, and also the highest poster. I guess he's something of a board celebrity, of sorts and he's a top guy (and hasn't even bribed me to say this ... Athough if you do want to buy me a pint in a couple of weeks Kev, I wont say no ), so he's managed to get himself an army of fans, all over the world apparently!

I thought you were going to say he was in a band or played with some famous people.

I would never guess that so many Dry County members are at concerts recognizing the head moderator.

If you take all the active members here, split them by location, divide by the number of fans out there who actually attend shows, then single out the ones who recognize or care to meet other members, I'd guess the odds are less than a fraction of a percent to actually walk through a crowd and be stopped.
