PRETTY SONGS???!?

I dont want to listen to a rock band that writes bloody pretty songs
OK, how about we change that to pretty amazing songs?

Keep On Rockin'
I like that better, too I had a mental picture of Jon wearing a dandalion crown and prancing around a dandelion meadown.

i woould describe their songs as beautiful - and it's not a dandelion- congnitation word for me. For me, their songs are beautiful. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful music, beautiful voice ... just all around beautiful.
huff...I don't want beautiful, Beautiful makes me want to go "aww, arn't they sweet, writting those adorable ballads about loving somebody so much......"
I want my music to be hard, gritty, something that will really "grab by balls". I want my music to make we want to say WWWWAAAAHHHHH, and march at a fast pace, or inspire me to play my hammond organ. I don't want to listen to a band that makes pretty music, and sings nice songs (as most of Crush and Bounce was for me).....

If you read you're first post, then compare it to the band in the 80's!!!!! I saw their new video at the gym today, and I was ashamed, that was no rock band! Compare that to Bad Name video, or Lay your Hands on Me..... Maybe Bon Jovi rock much more than the newer bands, they do in image (even if a lot of the music is following these horrible trends), but comparing them to 80's Bon Jovi and nowerdays they're jsut pretenders....

Tico is the only one who really really rocks, as much as he did back then. The rest have somewhat mellowed, which doesn't help the rock image one bit.

Still songs like OWN, and Undivided rock, sure, but they're underemphesised on the album.... they hsould be billed as the cream of the album, but are forgotten somewhat. If Bon Jovi aren't a pop band, then where is their long hair? Where are their scruffy leathers? WHere are the groupies? and where is Jon's Communits hat!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you would speak Spanish, I could explain better. I´m going to try it again in English:

One of my friends have a theory to distinguish pop of rock: "A rock band have somebody singing, a man playing the guitar and a drummer". (more or less)

I hate people who say me: "You´re listening to a pop band" "Jon is homosexual"...etc etc. They use POP in a despective way, with double meaning. And Bon Jovi is not "pop" then.
If someone say: "The Corrs are pop" nobody is going to take offence. But Bon Jovi is not AC DC, it´s not heavy metal or hard rock (not now). But still being a rock band (despite of crush )

That must be the oddest thing I read all day. If you start going WWWAAAAAAHHHH and marching around cos some music's grabbed your balls, I'd recommend a psychiatrist

Keep On Rockin'

Tico has mellowed out somewhat, just like the rest of him. His image, though, is the most rock-iest of all them. Jon looks like he tries too hard to please the eyes (but that's because of the demand of image nowadays ).

I suggest you listen to the Glenn Hughes version of Highway Star I was listening to at the gym!!!!!!!!!!

I challange you not to scream at that version!!!!!!!!!

Nah, people who think I"m strange, do it under a sort of " what can you do, he's a rocker" sort of way, which I like ...... Maybe I do need to see a psychiatrist though.... My life only seems to have meaning in rock music, this can't be right can it?

This is the funniest stuff I've read all day. That and the "pretty songs" bit. (BTW, the term "beautiful music" is used to describe the kind of music you hear in elevators.)
