Denise & Richie Split

David was pretty much there to shut up and play.

I figured Dave was there because the majority of the coaching sessions are done with piano, Jon was there with guitar so Richie wasn't really needed and with his Dad being sick maybe he opted out of it.

It's one thing to be a rock star who drinks but another to be a rockstar who let's down his band because of it. Assuming that the story is true I don't think the rest of the band would be too impressed. It was supposed to be Richie with Jon on Ai - that's how it was advertised. For some reason Dave has stepped in at the last minute. It is the norm for a rock star to like a drink but I've read more than one thread ripping Jon off because he smokes - decidely the norm as well I'd say.

Just listen to the change at Jon's voice and you'll understand our complains about the cigarette.

I understand completely but I just think it's no different to a guitar player who is too pissed to attend pre arranged committments. Can you excuse one as just being part of the rock and roll life style and not the other? BTW from what I've heard on Youtube etc Jons voice is sounding better than it has in a while.

I'm not excusing Richie, but it's true that the guy had a lot of recent problems. BTW, the cigarette destroys Jon's voice while the fact that Richie's drunk once here and there doesn't necessarily affect his playing skills

He always sound better in "off" shows or at the beginning of the tour, but his voice is not the same and probably it's not only beacuse the age.

Dno about that, his playing has been pretty sloppy as of late. Messing up lyrics, riffs, etc. I feel bad for the guy, I wish he could pull his act together.

I thought that Richie was not at the AI sessions was because his father had just passed away not even two (or was it three) weeks prior. Sounds like a good reason to me for him not being there but that's JMO *shruggs*

as far as why Denise and Richie really split, we will never really know the truth.

Really? I've only seen video/heard audio, but I hadn't noticed.
