Default Desmond Child Backing Vocals

Does anyone know if Desmond Child provided additional backing vocals on Bon Jovi records? He released a solo album in 1991 titled 'Discipline' and is a really good singer. He sang with Jon and Richie and some of their non-Bon Jovi songs (We All Sleep Alone). I'm pretty sure he can be heard on some of the older albums by Bon Jovi.

Have you done any research on this? Aka google search or album liner notes?

Liner notes for the past few albums haven't been as clear as who does what. I swear I hear him towards the end of All about Loving You but he isn't credited.

I know he was present during the Crush sessions, specifically One Wild Night (there's some clip of them recording backing vocals for it and Jon, Richie and Desmond are singing into one mic).

Pretty sure that was Mark Hudson, not Desmond.

Album note for albums he's produced. He, Jon and Richie contributed back-up vocals together on Cher's self titled 1987 album on the tracks 'We All Sleep Alone' and 'Bang Bag'. I have a copy of that one myself. I also have CD's he's produced and he sings backing vocals on all of those albums too. Robin Beck's 'Trouble Or Nothing', Kane Roberts 1991 album, Alice Coopers 'Trash' & 'Hey Stoopid', Cher's 1987 album and 'Heart of Stone'. If you haven't heard it, get yourself copy of Desmond Child's 'Discipline' solo album - it's brilliant. Also get your hands on Desmond Child & Rouge albums. 'Runners In The Night' is a classic piece of AOR rock. All three are on CD. 'Discipline' is deleted but you should be able to get a 2nd hand copy. He also sings a duet on song called 'Shocker' with KISS's Paul Stanley on the soundtrack of the same name. The songs was performed by a Supergroup consisting of Desmond and Paul, Vivian Campbell - guitars (Whitesnake, Dio, Def Leppard), Guy Mann-Dude, Rudy Sarzo - bass (Great White - I think?) and Tommy Lee - drums (Motley Crue).

Usually love the guy's writing, but no. It's mediocre at best, plus stylistically, only a couple of tunes sound like the stuff he wrote for bands like Bon Jovi or Aerosmith in the 80s. And some of these tracks are actually just re-recordings songs previously released by other bands.
