Default Desmond Child

Just wondering if anybody has ever listened to Desmonds album Discipline. Does it sound like bon jovi in the 80s? Richie wrote some of the songs on it.

I've heard it. Heck, I own the album. It's pretty cool, but kind of surprising. It has sort of a pop feel to it, I think (with the exception of Richie's songs). I mean, the albums got saxophone solos!

Not heard any of his stuff, but I do know that his band was called 'Desmond Child & Rouge' and formed around 1975. Apparently it was soft-rock of some sort, but the band weren't all that good.

I have it too. I hoped that it would be more like stuff he had co-wrote with different artists but the only song thatīs close to that stuff is The Price Of Lovinī You. And that is excellent song. Desmondīs version is much better than Bonfireīs who have also recorded it. It (Discipline) has its moments but I was a bit disappointed when I heard it for the first time.

No. Richie is involved in the CD, he plays guitar on some songs and as stands above he wrote some songs. So this here is the right forum since we don't have an extra forum for side projects of the band members anymore.

Yeah. I didn't like it all that well. It wasn't something I felt the urge to play over and over again. It wasn't bad, just not great either.
