I think that "coldness" and stark quality on some of the songs like Cold Hard Heart is what I really LOVE about it. Weird, I know.

Eh. Sometimes it works. But the writing's so deeply emotional and then the music is so cold and distant it just doesn't mesh for me.

What a load of crap. Sure, it's a good album I think, but way ahead of it's time?

I read that on that album Jon was influeced by all the brit-pop stuff that was going on at the time when he lived in england.

I love DA too. Actually I don't listen to it as much as other BJ cds, but sometimes I just feel "inspired" for Destination Anywhere and I can't help listening to it
The only song I don't like is Naked - but overall the lyrics are amazing and I like the music too. Of course it's not "pure rock", it's something different you might like or not. I absolutely do!!

I liked it when I first got it but quickly got tired of it. Haven't listened to it for ages but last time I did it sounded pretty crap. Not a patch on Blaze Of Glory.

I was the other way around. I didn't like it at first, but once I started to listen deeper and comprehend the lyrics I thought, wow that is brilliant. It's definately one of my favourate albums, and I'm really gald that Jon gave the charts a backseat on that occasion and wrote what was true to him. I would like him to go back to making music like this in the future.
