I listened a lot to the album back when it came out but haven't listened to it for ages now.

I'll never forget how he played August 7 in Hamburg 1997. It made you shiver, you felt the anger in this song. It was amazing. I find it great how you can express your different feelings with the same song. The anger in the Original version and the sadness in the acoustic version.

Love the CD ... a buddy of mine in Japan got an advance copy a couple of months before it was released and sent it over to me ... I remember picking the up the package at the post office, putting the CD in the car stereo, and expecting a similar sound to Bon Jovi or at least the YG album ... and man was I surprised ... way different - but I really liked it. The only song I didn't like, and thought was really stupid was 'Ugly' but after a couple of weeks - I came to like it as well.

The entire CD is great!!

I haven't got the DA album. I just never got it, I was scared I wouldn't like it. I liked YG but I think this album is very poppy, am I right?
Everytime i walk in a CD store I see and think should I...nah later. I am a HUGE BJ fan and I think that the next album I'm buying is DA but I'm not 100% sure.
Is this really poppy?
Does it have some good guitar work and stuff?

I have some respect for this album and it's writing, especially some lyrics, but overall it doesn't have what I enjoy. And I can't relate to much of it. Haven't listened to it for a long time. It's sort of the beginning of the end, in my opinion.

When I bought it and first listened to it I thought there was some kind of a mistake, because Queen Of New Orleans sounded so unlike Bon Jovi. I didn't like it at first, but soon became to appreciate how well some of the songs are written. It's a good album and I partculary like Queen Of New Orleans, August 7, 4:15, Every Word..., Learning How To Fall, and Destination Anywhere. There are others that are ok like Midnight In Chelsea, Staring At Your Window, etc, but my real regret is that he left of I Talk To Jesus, which is one hell of a great demo.
