Default Did Dave do much work on Lost Highway?

The other day when I was bored I read a bit of the LH sleeve. And I couldn't help noticing that David Bryan does not have a writing credit on any of the songs. He usually has at least one.

I also noticed that in the band section his part simply reads:
Keyboards - David Bryan

So it appears he hasn't been doing any backing vocals, I know it was the case on HAND as well, but it's still rather odd that he's not doing them anymore.

And then take a look at the additional musicians part. Hidden amoungst all the steel guitarists:

Dan Chase - Programming & Keyboards
Steve Nathan - Piano & B-3 Organ
Charlie Judge - Synth & Programming

So, they've recruited three keyboardists other than Dave to play parts that he's probably perfectly capable of doing. It really doesn't look like he's had much to do on this album...

Just a way of getting my thoughts down somewhere

yeah, its quite possible that it's because of the album originally being a jon and richie thing.

For me Dave Bryan Rocks!!!!!! Don't wonder why he didn't do too much.
LH would be a "ok" soloalbum - hey I praised LH!!!!

I kind of light praise, I suppose. Still, you have lower expectations for solo projects...well, Jon solo projects

I think you're reading too much into things. To say he tends to have co-writes on albums is being a bit generous. Read the notes for the last few albums, stuff from Crush on forwards just has Jon and Richie doing all the vocals.

And occasional guests doing backing vocals here and there, but no dave.
Wonder why, as he is the one that covers for Jon so much live these days.

Could it be that they're not crediting background vocals the way they used to?
In any case, I've always thought LH sounded more Jon and Richie than anyone else.

It's possible. I just know that it's been years and years since they've credited anyone but Jon and Richie as doing the vocals.

How many songs does Dave have credit on? Off the top off my head:

In These Arms
Last Cigarette
Unbreakable
On songs on the first two albums that I cant remember
