I was watching Keep The Faith - The Videos last night and this song came on. I had never paid proper attention to the video and was actually quite stunned to find out that the story line was taken from a 19th century short story (An Occurence at Oil Creek Bridge), which we had discussed in school years ago.
But another thing that hit me: The vocal mix was totally different. Jon's voice was mixed as loud as Elton John's vocals in the chorus, while it's hard to make out the latter on the album.
Does anybody know if this version was released somewhere? Somewhere in my mind I have the memory that it was a French single, but which mix did it contain?
