I think the first verse pretty much ruins Undivided. That verse is way too american for my taste, it is hard for me to relate to that.

Overall, this "live your life everyday" theme in Bon Jovi's latest songs is getting rather boring.

I don't think so.

If I don't like the lyrics, I don't like the song. Period.

Of course, sometimes I don't like one or two phrases in the song, but that doesn't change my overall feelings about the song.

In all honesty, very few of Bon Jovi's lyrics carry much originality. If someone's bored count up the number of songs that rhyme "die," "cry," and "lie." They aren't all bad, don't get me wrong. But, they are certainly a band that leans toward the heavy side of cliche.

For me, though, Bon Jovi has rarely been about intellectual stimulation. It's more about the emotion behind the songs, than the words used to convey those emotions.
agreed!
I mean rock songs don't even need lyrics.

But then some songs are really screwed up by the lyrics. I mean with this Save The World....i can't even listen to the song because of the lyrics.
And the biggest song they screwed with the lyrics is definrtly: GET READY. Again....i never listen to it because of the "just 17 but she acts full grown".
And i do also hate IT's MY LIfe or Everyday type of messages. They suck bigtime. Everyday would be much better if it had other lyrics.

I think Undivided gost straight to the point. There really weere theior families in that attack so why the hell not write about it. And i don't think it eon't stand the test of time. It's one of the few Bounce songs that will do that. Just because in a few years people will have forgotten what happened and than listening again it will just bring all back. This song has the potential to makr you hate those terrorist. IO like em.

Then HEY GOD. i don't agree with Santa fe. The guitars make this song which are incredible but the lyrics are just great aswell. there really are moments when you ask yourself if there is God. Again, straight to the point. I mean I don't really want BJ to try to be philosophers as they tried a few times . Just saying the truth is modt of the times much more effective and they obviousley did with hey God.

I Got The Girl - just to cheesy song to bother about the lyrics. Maybe if they were about somebody jumping of a bridge they would be bettre....hahaha,just kidding.

What other song?
I don't remember right now but i really think Bon Jovi have manged to keep a good balance between their lyrics and their melody.

Oh, Never Say Goodbye's lyrics are really damn catchy and childish but i guess that makes the song so emotional. You really remember the time at the prom and the beer and evrything. Again, good balance between lyrics and melody. But whenevr i hear Never Say goodbye i think about that guy at Dortmund 1993 that said **** Guns N' Roses in the end. What amn awesome moment.
