I dunno. I would say U2 and Coldplay are bigger now. Maybe you should remove your rose tinted lenses.

My thoughts exactly, but like it or lump it Coldplay are bigger at the moment, certainly in the UK anyway. It's hard to think how someone so dull can be so popular.

HAND is what, 31 in the UK this week? There are lots and lots of bands that are bigger then Bon Jovi in the UK at the moment.

What's strange is they can sell out Hampden Park, City of Manchester Stadium, Ricoh Arena, St. Mary's and Wembley Stadium which adds up to about 300,000 tickets yet the album has only sold about 115,000. Weird.

I guess it's their own fault, they have stupidly neglected what was their biggest market in the world throughout the ninties during the last few years and now they are paying the price. Hopefully before this album is done they'll get one really big single over here and really do some good promo to coincide with their UK tour.

Not everyone who goes to a show has ALL albums of that particular band. I dare say half of them are spouses/boyfriends that only go to keep peace in the household (ok that might be exaggerated). Very few concerts I go to, do I have all releases from that artist - especially if we are talking about a band that has been around for 20 years.

Still, I remain puzzled at how many tickets the band sells in Europe and the East coast (though the hometown thing, I do get). Over here, they play relatively small venues (in comparison to the 50,000 seaters in Europe) and they don't even sell out those...

Yeh well it's not like all those people have bought the new stuff. Since 2000, only It's My Life really gave them a new fanbase (only for a year or so anyway, but you get my point?).

Salaam Aleikum,
