so it could have been "the right feels right", as well (if the turn was right).
what i'm trying to say is that there is no particular expression about "turning left" when you do something new in your life... right?

ok don't laugh!
Well "this right feels right" just sounds rediculous doesn't it!! It's just a play on words, and a clever one at that. Seems like the boys are doing something good here! Jazzy riffs? I can't wait
I'm so excited about this record now. This left feels right is the smartest Bon Jovi title ever!

I'm not sure but I think there is. Not new though, but something unusual for you.

Well, I guess this record is for the fans. Not for the record company to make money. And that makes me even more excited

To "go left" means to go in a different direction in your life or work; to try something unexpected; to get off balance. They're using it to say that "This is NOT what you expect from Bon Jovi, but it feels good to us anyway." "Take a left" or "go left" or "make a left turn" can all express that in English.

Here is a different interpretation like they turned left from what they originally wanted to do. That also sound good.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question:
The “play on words” for the album title, “This Left Feels Right,” are we correct in assuming that the work in the studio that was being done initially,( which Jon mentions in the News section as having taken a “left turn,”) went from one direction they thought it was going to go in acoustically, then unexpectedly and perhaps surprisingly taking a turn in the opposite direction…hence the“left.” in the title? The reference to the left is referring to what occurred in the studio… and it feels right. Brilliantly clever and poignant title…congrats to the band… well done…

This is the first I've heard of the name (until a couple minutes ago I thought it was going to be titled Strum as you Are).

Against what some may think though, I thought Strum as you Are would be better, as it parodied "Come as you are," meaning not to be elaborate and just be yourself (just the simple acoustic guitar).

But This Left Feels Right sounds more like a song title than an album title (I know...Keep the Faith and Bounce...). It's just uncomfortable to refer to it...titles like Keep the Faith and Bounce (and all other BJ albums) have a real catchy ring to it that this one doesn't possess.

My only other concern is that the title refers to the album itself. They didn't call Crush "The Comeback" did they? No.

Don't get me wrong, it's not a bad name, but I just think Strum as you Are would have been much better. And even then, that title isn't a spectacle to behold. The word "strum" just has a sort of folk-song anti-former-hair-band sound to it.

Alright, I don't want to become a cronic complainer so I'll cease and decist. This Left Feels Right is a satisfactory title.
