IIRC, people speculated that it was $100k bc that was the amount Jon donated to a cause the night Richie didn't show up in Calgary. But I've slept since then.

Talking about Richie's backing vocals: In another thread there was that article posted about a guy who auditioned (probably) for Bobby's spot --> https://www.al.com/life/2019/03/did-...-bon-jovi.html

That part really fits this discussion:
I had a blast playing those songs. I can't hit those vocal notes man that Sambora hits. I'm not ashamed to admit that. Some of those biggest hits, like "Livin' on a Prayer," Jon is singing way out of his range well then Sambora was singing a harmony on top of that. I can play all if that guitar stuff, easy. But Richie is a special talent.

Some songs they covered like "Lean on me" or the Beatles songs come to mind *sigh*
