Default Do you think they leaked it?

Do you think they leaked it to counter the bad press they were getting over the ticket prices? It's a certain distraction isn't it?

Or am I far to cynical?

probably a good PR move if they did! with the ticket prices, they can probably afford to have some people downloading the album for free!

Interesting thought, Kathleen. Could possibly well be them, especially as they kept it hidden from the filesharing world for so long and now just 3 days before release it's now here.

But man, how did they keep it away for so long? This thing should have leaked bloody ages ago

Could be!

I was just sitting here listening to the circle, and it is not helping the bad taste I have.

Never thought I would sit and listen to Bon Jovi and not smile, but I am not. I can't even bring myself to listen to WFTWM.

took the thoughts right out of my head!

Either way we shouldnt allow it to distract us from making the points we need to. ( in my opinion )

I hear that - I never thought I would feel as cynical about this band as I have the past few days. They really destroyed a lot of positive feeling from fans. And they might not care unless nobody shows up at the shows. From what I've seen about the tickets sales - there will be plenty of people at these shows - myself included. I haven't gone far enough to refuse to go to a show - YET.

And I wouldn't - a Jovi show is one of the greatest joys in my life - I'm not going to cut off my tongue to spite my face. I just book the tickets I can afford wherever it is in the venue. However, I had a discussion the other day with another fan on Facebook who said her "fan status" means that if she can't be near the front, she won't go to the show. And that's my problem with some of these arguments - it's not people who can't afford the show - it's people who can't afford to be at the front at the show.

Anyway, not sure if they'd leak it or not - I mean, it's all money.

That's the problem not enough will throw in the towel, so we will be stuck with tickets on the floor being out of reach for most of us. Sad day.

Keep in mind that they don't make money on the albums - the record company does. They make money on touring and merchandise.

Jon was on a TV show sometime in 2002 - Money. He stated that for every album sold the band earned 5 cents and the record company made the rest. This leads me to conclude that the ticket prices are all on Jon's head but that they might not care about a leak.

Aloha !

They didn't leak it, it has reached distribution centers in Germany right now, hence the leak.

And I agree about how the O2-thing spoils it a bit. They finally seem to be able to deliver a quality record yet **** it up again over money issues.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
