While they probably didn't leak it, I'm sure they aren't at all upset that the hardcore fanbase that's so pissed at them are currently occupied raving about the album. I don't believe they've bothered to remove the youtube uploads, for instance.

Yeah but Jon once said he would bet his house on Thank You For Loving Me being a hit. And he famously wanted Prayer to be left off Slippery.

He doesn't know if an album is going to be liked by the fans. So the ploy could have back fired big time.

High prices and a shit album would not have been good. They would never have risked that.

It wouldn't hurt to get your facts straight before you posted a nasty comment.

It has been proven that bands have leaked their own albums. The old - someone stole my laptop with the new album on it - excuse has worked in the past. For U2 if I recall correctly.
