That's me. Rock songs are always great to listen to..But then there are the special songs that mean a lot more to you than just a good listen.. Like for me, "My Guitar Lies Bleeding in my Arms" and "Always" are my favourite songs; because they mean a lot to me. Rock's always good; but then, sometimes it's time to "Get serious" and listen to the more down-to-earth slow/calm songs.

No, to rock is not the only option. but it has to be something well written, and interesting. Not by any means calculated radio friendly crap they have been releasing so much.

one of my favourite songs ever is pachel belle's canon and that ore-dates rock by a decade or 20. Wanting everything to "rock" as i said in the other thread is really high school to me. I don't care. a good song is a good song wether it's rock, classical, pop (gasp!!!!) RnB (bigger gasp!!!!) not liking music because it doesn't rock or is a genre you don;t like is idiotic. not my problem if people want to miss out great music.

yes (at least most of the times). and by saying rock i don't mean only up beat fast songs but also ballads or mid tempo songs. for example dry county is not fast or up beat but it rocks all the way.

Aloha !

Yes, most times for me a song needs to rock. There aren't that many songs of which I think don't rock. And by saying rock I mean a certain feeling that's in it. Not heavy guitars and a dropped D tuning.

That's just a story full of crap. You're now actually saying someone is stupid if he doesn't like a song from a certain genre because you think it's a good song. That sounds a lot more high school to me. "I think the song is good and if you don't you're stupid."

Ah, and you obviously still don't get the point of the topic I made in which you replied.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

No... "These Days" and "Saturday Night" are my 2 favorite Jovi songs and I wouldn't consider either of them rock songs.

Nope, it's all about good lyrics for me and how the song connects with me.

A good song is a good song. But for me to like a good song it need to have a feeling, it needs to have balls. Not all rock songs have balls and most songs Bon Jovi has released recently don't have balls.
