Yes, most times for me a song needs to rock. There aren't that many songs of which I think don't rock. And by saying rock I mean a certain feeling that's in it. Not heavy guitars and a dropped D tuning.

That's just a story full of crap. You're now actually saying someone is stupid if he doesn't like a song from a certain genre because you think it's a good song. That sounds a lot more high school to me. "I think the song is good and if you don't you're stupid."

nope u missed the point there mate. i was saying not liking a song because it doesn't rock is as stupid as people who say i don't like band X because it's rock or i don't like band y because it's not pop and i only listen to dance etc....
I'm not saying because I like it everyone should, though i do have a problem believing anyone with an open mind would not like pachel belle's canon. I'm just saying not liking something because it's of a certain genre or doesn't rock is stupid IMO.
as i've already said, not my problem if people want to miss out on good music for being narrow minded then go ahead. not doing me any harm.
