everything officially released by an artist like Shakira sure is available *somewhere*.

Tho releases from late 80s/early 90s are often quite tough to find, or so I've learned. Might have something to do with the fact that the stuff I look for aren't excactly mainstream or chart sucessess

I think it helps them as much as it hurts them. I downloaded the boset to see if it was worth buying and I think it is. I'll be getting that soon. I think it gives the band a wider range of audience because it gives people an alternative to get into their music. I know a mate who downloaded Led Zeppelin's greatest hits and now he owns practically every original CD they've released, including DVDs.

this is also a way to get a wider audience true ... usually when you are a fan after downloading you buy EVERY SINGLES THING AVAILABLE

Her first two albums, "Magia" and "Peligro" were only released in Colombia, and because they only sold about 2000 copies, Sony music stopped producing them and although they do turn up on eBay sometimes, they usually sell for about $100-$150, which I can't afford. So until a)Sony start making them again or b)I go to Colombia and find someone willing to give me their copy or sell it, that is the way it has to be
Those albums are really good by the way. :P [/color]
