I think that a lot of people do download, and obviously it "hurts" the artist, but there's probably still more who buy the albums than those who download it.

Personally if there is more than 3 songs from an album that I like (heard by tv, radio etc) then I'll buy the album. I don't download music anymore, save for live stuff.
