Does Jon actually think these are good introductions?

I've been to see bands where the frontman doesnt say 2 words to the crowd, they just play their songs and get off stage.
I have to say, the RHCP were like that. No crowd interaction at all.

Some of the stuff is getting old, but funnily enough, that seems to be more on all the bootlegs I've got (like Kathleen says, way too many). The actual shows I've been to, I haven't heard the same stuff too much. Best speech for me is from an Ohio concert on the Crush tour where he talks about him and Dave missing their High School reunion, in the middle of Someday I'll Be Saturday Night, and the way he fitted it into the song was great.

He should say "This is the one you're not seeing on MTV or VH1"

Just going back to Jon improvising during songs....

Okay, he does do the same kinda' stuff at every show on a tour, but if you don't go to more than one show on a tour (which most people, except us nutters do) you would never know:

KTF, jungle noises on These Days. Changed it to the very cool "BOOM, BOOM BOOM" for Bounce.

Did the whole time warp thing for Runaway on the HAND tour.

So yeah, he repeats a lot, but he does change some stuff too.

The very fact that people sing along to the "Weeeeeeeeeeell" in the end of Shout, and all of the "improvisations" in the end of Livin' On A Prayer makes it obvious that many people know all about his stage moves and improvisations, even while they only go to one show per tour, and that there's no originality in him at all.

And that time machine is awful.

Sebastiaan

That's just not true. It's very, very easy to catch up on these. More so, when the ones that do know about it do it instantly. It doesn't even take a second until the ones willing to join in do so.

For "normal " people that is true. Superman needs to practise in front of his his mirror.
