In the part about CVDVs? Could it be a reference to CBGB....the club that was in NYC? That's what I heard originally, still in the first listens though.

I'm pretty sure of most of that except the 'my old friends' line. Anyhow, I've really enjoyed the songs from the new album, this has been the one stuck in my head the most. I just kinda think of it as today's version of Someday I'll be Saturday Night.

This is easily my favorite song on the album. I like several, but this is #1 by a long way.

Same here! I love What About Now and That's What The Water made Me too, but this is my favorite. I was pretty sure I heard an f in that line as in friend instead of rent. It does sound like buy before that though, and as I'm pretty sure Jon isn't talking about human trafficking, I'm thinking I may have misheard that f. Lol
