Default Don't you just hate the time before a new album?

The waiting, the suspence, not knowing the tracklisting, what the album artwork will look like, having the oompas say it's going to be something special and then having the oompas saying we have no information to share...! It's always the same before a new album comes out! The days go really slowly...I think it's 47 days now for the U.K! It's an exciting but frustrating time!

Yes... and I hate the possibility of getting to hear new tracks early. I want to hear them, but I don't want to ruin the experience of hearing them properly for the first time with a CD and a real stereo system.

Several people offered to send me Crush prior to it's release and I refused. Then one day I get a "surprise" in the mail of a crappy Memorex tape of Crush. Memorex makes everything sound bad. LOL But I listened to it anyway. I couldn't resist. Last year before Bounce came out, you could pre-order the CD from Amazon and listen to it on your computer. I didn't want to do that, but had the possibility of having cancer thrown at me and really *needed* something to pick me up, so I wound up preordering and pre-listening.

I have no will power.

Becky

Thats why its just best to ignore all the rumours and wait for official news. I kinda know what you mean but for me, its still not as exciting as waiting for a new bon jovi album with all new songs.

I know exactly what you mean, Becky. In a way I wish there was no possibility of hearing any of the songs from a new album until the album comes out. i.e no file sharing of the new album, no 30 second clips on BJ.com or the pre-order on Amazon, you just HAD to wait. That would be cool. The album comes out everywhere on the SAME day. Reality is though that a lot of people will hear the album before it gets released (or people will get it from Japan) and post about how each song sounds and kind of ruin it for others. Like RichieW2001 says, it also makes the tension a lot more intense when everyone is as excited as you are and everyone is talking about it and speculating about it.

Nope!

This gives me a chance to catch up with what else is out there. Also gives me a break financially, so I can buy albums of other bands. Cause I don't only listen to BJ

I'm with Panama!! It's fun to wait, to know that a new album is on the way and to count the days.. okay, maybe not count the days, but you know what I mean. This is the fun time and then buying the new album, going home to listen to it. Great!

I've only been a fan since after the launch of Crush, so I've only had to wait for Bounce, and was really unhappy when I'd pre-ordered it, and it only came 2 days after release.

I'm just going to go into a shop and buy it when the next album is released. I'll probably be in University that day anyway, so I can just go to HMV or Virgin for it.
