Haven't listened to it for ages, but it is one of my favourite songs.

I think I saw this on Gibson Guitar's website:
"Lyrics are just part of a solo!"

I think this is the best description of Dry County. Who cares how the lyrics go, how the vocals go, even if they are great. I hear only the music. Tico's drumms are great. The little bass riffs justamazing. The keyboard parts fantastic. And the guitars fabulouse. Richie is doing one of the best guitar-jobs ever.
It's one of those songs which give you just the smae feeling withor without lyrics. The music tells the story fo the lyrics and Bon Jovi have just 3 of this songs. Wanted Dead Or Alive, Dry County and My Guitar Lies Bleeding In My Arms.

This is such crap. If this song would not have strong vocals the song would be nowhere.

Blah blah! Speak for yourself! Strong vocals?! Right. Just normal BJ KTF vocals...I don' see them any stronger as other KTF songs and still Fear for example isn't as big. SO just go and blow some...and leave people post what they think!

ah your opinion broadcast as an objective fact yet again.

The music to dry county is amazing but 11 minutes of that with shit lyrics and a crap top line? no way would it fly.

Er, I am speaking for myself.

And the song does have strong vocals. Just like any song from Keep The Faith has. And Fear isn't 10 minutes long. Apples and oranges. You're the one who comes up with the theory that the song would still work with shitty vocals. No it wouldn't. Imagine Dry County with Bounce alike vocals. It wouldn't work. Dork. But then again, why do I bother discussing things with you, Mr. I-am-rock-but-Pink-is-cool-too.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

I think that Dry County is one their best songs because the song shows strong elements of vocal, lyrical, and instrumental talent. The lyrics are symbollic, allowing the listener to create personal meaning. Its a great thinking song to listen to while driving at night. One time I was out and my friend had too much to drink and we played it one the jukebox about 3 x's in a row. Next thing we knew, the bartender uplugged the jukebox and gave us a free drink and said that he was sorry but he couldn't take hearing it again. So, I wouldn't recommend overplaying it to the wrong crowd
