I don't think it matters what the writer has in mind at the time but what each person can take from it.

The best example I can think of is Always. Everyone thinks its a big romantic song but it was actually written about a stalker.


For Dry County I take the lyrics quite literally, a barren place, no prospect but still a shimmer of hope.

how do you do the small box of what someone wroe - it'l like:

Well, that wasn't very optimistic story behind a song, but it's interesting to know about the backround stories (for some people )
