Well I know that Hugh can play some great Bass, he is 10 times the bass player that Alec Was.
But I do get Devils Son point.When You go to a live show yes you go to hear some kick ass music played but you also go to see a show.Alec put on a show, Hugh just plays, wich i believe must be another reason why he never will be an official band member.

i heard it for huey maouth when he said he played in all the albums
exept 7800 , i think he is much better then Alec!

and come on he started to move more on stage !

and his bass playing really kicked ass !

there was another rumore, that on stage becaouse Alec sucked so much they unplagged his bass and huey was playing the bass backstage !

in some bootlegs from 93 94 you barely can hear the bass !

ehm ehm....i'm sorry but how can you decide huey is 10 TIMES better tha n alec?
are you so concetrate to look bj's bass player during the concerts?have you ever attend a bj's concert and alec ruins a song playing bad?if it wouldn't be true that huey played bass on the albums while alec did...have you found some mistakes on the studio recordings?
DID YOU REALLY SEE THE DIFFERENCE MUSICALLY BETWEEN A CONCERT WITH ALEC AND THE ONES WITH HUEY????
