so? That doesn't lessen any of the effort and accomplishments.

I get so tired of people bitching about Bono and Geldof --- mostly by people who'll never lift a finger for charity (not directed at any one in particular as I wouldn't know).

I do get your point spunky I really do. From my point of view, I can only add that I dont think too highly of people shining their halos with charity issues.

Well a speedy release is a good thing as far as I'm concerned. Last one took 20 years before I got a high quality (vs bootleg) recording of the damn show. And no - the performances aren't usually great - but it is nice to have a good quality recording of the event.
