Default Encoding VCD

I am trying to encode an asf file to vcd. I am using virtual dub to extract the wav file and tmpeg to creat the vcd mpeg. The problem is that when I try to burn the VCD in Easy CD 5, it says to insert a disk that is empty or can handle the amount of space of this file. It doesn't make sense because the file is only 47 mins and a disk should hold about 80, right? Anyone have a clue what I am doing wrong? Anyone else ever have this problem? How did you fix it???

thanks!
