You will undoubtedly get a below par product for the price because you're paying for the name on the headstock as well as as everything else. You can find much better quality guitars in the same price range, as Thierry said.

As for why it's discontinued, I would guess because it's not even remotely popular. It would have probably sold more successfully if it had been beefed up to a better spec but they cheaped out on it which is why I never even considered getting one - that and I don't like the appearance of them either.

they were discontinued when the tour finished last year, i was looking into getting one and a they were available when they were touring but a few weeks after it finished they stopped... as for price i think they were selling for around £500 when i saw them. Ive read alot of complaints about the pick ups, and a lot of people changing them for PAFs. I managed to get a Kramer JS for cheap so i wont be getting one of these now.
