Fake Japanese 2010 Box Set??

He for sure already had the music. As a collector I would want the real thing (and make sure that it is real before I place a bid on ebay).

True Chris - but I had no intention of buying a $300.00 set of discs that I already had. However at $45.00 I thought it was a great deal. I wasn't aware that they were knockoffs (though I sorta suspected) but since I wasn't going to have them in any case I'm OK with it.

How can you tell it is not a fake? It's pretty cheap don't you think? Those we've been talking about in eBay are at least $45 (US dollars).

I must admit that my fake box set was done very well, it has many minimal details you would only expect from a legal release. I guess those who made such fakes copied every single detail from the original.

I'd love to post some pictures from the downside of the discs (the readable side) where you all could see that it has four Universal Music logos around and the IFPI serial number to each album, those numbers match perfectly the rest of the package of each album, I'd dare to say they are original and legal but sadly now I know (thanks to you, and I apreciate it a lot! ) that they are nothing but a fake.

Did you ever try to access to the Vault using such CDs?

I never did since my computer doesn't have a CD reader device.

Yes I did - I had (and still have) complete access to all the bonus material in the vault.

I just got a brand new laptop with CD Drive and tried to use the CDs, I'm sad to say the Vault is no longer available

You are entirely correct - I just tried to login and it doesn't seem to be there any longer. They really should give people some warning though I assume that anyone who wanted to download something has already done so.

ON the back of the backstage passes, I believe it said it would be available until November 21,2011 or something like that. I didn't check to see if it was available after that, but I do remember that there was an expiry date on it.

Yeah I just checked one of my passes now, it was November 17th, but you were close. I do know that I accessed the vault after that point so whoever's in charge of it much have forgotten until now. It's a bit stupid, really, that there was an expiration date in the first place.

Agreed. The 2010 Special Editions were not that special I guess...
The 1998 Remasters Japanese 2 CD Sets WERE Special... out of print now
